Biography & Experience
Doug started his building career at the age of 12 with his ruler,
pencil and drawing table, designing luxury mansions, floor plans
and castles with moats. He has been involved in construction,
remodeling, and renovations in Sedona, the Verde Valley and throughout
Arizona for over 32 years.
After 3 years of military service, Doug worked his way through
college at Arizona State University, studying architecture, construction,
interior design and management. His work has taken him through
all the levels of the construction industry from laborer to carpenter
and several skilled trades, to foreman, superintendent, and project
management and construction manager.
From Sedona and the Verde Valley, to Flagstaff, Phoenix, Sierra
Vista and Fort Huachuca, Doug has applied his skills to custom
home building, commercial construction, shopping centers, remodeling,
historical renovations, military base maintenance, solar, and
green building methods.
His experience with the Department of Defense, US Army Corps
of Engineers, Morrison-Knudsen Engineers, Brown & Root Engineers,
as well as natural disasters like hurricane Andrew, south Florida,
and the famous Northridge earthquake in California gives Doug
an amazing depth of experience in understanding the construction
industry, and methods.
